Spike Golf Review

Spike Golf was started by three friends and for two reasons.

Firstly it was to convert golfers from plastic tees to bamboo tees and secondly to add a bit of edge and youth to the game.

Looks

All the products they now sell have a real look of quality and also that bit of edge and youthfulness. The tees are bright with easy to use lines to ensure the same height every time. The other products also stand out with a real modern look that will suit all golfers, especially those wanting to be a tad different. 

Feel

Tees, towel, pitch mark repairer and the ball marker all have a feel of quality that will enable you to not only look good on the course but also give you great value for money.

Performance

I was sent tees, two towels (large and small), a pitch mark repairer and a ball marker and they all stand up to anything I’ve had before. I have to say the towel really feels good and does the job of keeping the clubs and ball very clean. 

Overall, it all looks great, very modern but suitable for all golfers, prices are comparable to all other suppliers out there (and probably even better than a good few).

The Bottom Line

I’ve really enjoyed trying out all these products and at the same time I feel like they’ve added something to the look of my “bag” and also added a bit of quality to what I have used before. All in all a very good set of products that I would have no issue at all in recommending to others out there.

"Spike Golf was fundamentally started by three friends for two reasons; to convert golfers away from plastic golf tees and on to bamboo golf tees so that we can reduce the plastic waste littering our golf courses, and to bring a bit of edge and youth spirit to the game of golf. There’s no denying that golf is getting younger and a lot of the brands that are currently out there aren't representing the new generation of golfers coming through.

"We've launched with regular bamboo golf tees, adding bold water-based colour on each tee size so they're easier to find and to encourage less waste. Each tee has guide lines that match the various castle tees heights and we've even tinkered with the heights to make sure they're as strong as possible. The small 32mm blue one, we could honestly sell in packs on one as they're indestructible.

"Since our launch we've grown into all sorts of other golf equipment, giving us a bigger canvas to bring the brand to life. We're on our second design run of golf towels, our third cap design, and the hope for us is that future products will include golf polos, pullovers, gloves, you name it.

"An exciting step for us is that we have just placed our order for bamboo castle tees so that we can expand our offering to golfers, which we're hoping to launch before the British winter really kicks in and a lot of clubs move over to winter mats."
