Mizuno Releases New Golf Shoes For 2023 Season

Mizuno's footwear is deployed across a wide range of sports - and taking those principles into Spring Summer 2023, the brand showcases its latest performance technology and comfort for golfers.

The SS23 footwear collection tech includes Mizuno Enerzy, a soft mid-sole material delivering rebound durability, along with Mizuno ‘Wgrip’, engineered to increase grip production and stability through constant testing and intricate analysis of weight distribution during the golf swing. The iconic G-style shoes and Wave Hazard models will continue in the collection.

The Mizuno Genem footwear collection is Mizuno’s first environmentally conscious golf shoe, using recycled materials and a BLOOM TPE (algae blended resin) midsole. One way to remove harmful phosphorous and ammonia in industrial wastewater - using the fastest growing plant on earth. The Genem also features recycled BOA wire, recycled synthetic upper and recycled synthetic fibres within the tongue and heel cuff. 

Genem WG BOA

Genem features Mizuno Enerzy midsole which is 17% softer and delivers 15% more energy return than any prior midsole material, the Enerzy insole is 20% softer delivering 28% more return. This gives Mizuno Enerzy the dual impact of intensifying ground forces for enhanced clubhead speed and reducing walk fatigue. This technology is combined with spikeless Wgrip technology, delivering an enhanced level of grip and traction, providing exceptional performance throughout the swing sequence. In recycled Nylon, Synthetic Leather with BOA closure system for a slip free, snug fit. Genem WG BOA has been created using environmentally friendly products. The upper is a recycled nylon material with tongue and heel made from recycled polyester. The BOA wire is also a recycled polyester material. The shoes have been produced using ‘Bloom’ algae technology - a way to remove harmful phosphorous and ammonia in industrial wastewater.

This gives Mizuno Enerzy the dual impact of intensifying ground forces for enhanced clubhead speed and reduced walking fatigue. This is combined with spikeless Wgrip technology, delivering a 33% increase in grip production vs the X10 rubber compound featured in previous models. The Genem WG GTX BOA is made from recycled Nylon and Synthetic Leather along with the BOA closure system for a slip free, snug fit, with a Gore Tex upper section for maximum waterproofing. Designed using environmentally friendly products, the BOA wire is a recycled polyester material while the shoe itself has been produced using ‘Bloom’ algae technology - a way to remove harmful phosphorous and ammonia in industrial wastewater.
