The Best Winter Golf Hats to Buy
Welcome to the second of Golfshake’s 2022 Winter Golf Buying Guides where we round up the best items and gear that you should consider buying to support your golf over the winter.
This week, we’re taking a look at winter golf hats - including beanies, snoods and all manner of fuzzy conceptions - that will keep the rain off your face and the wind off your head when you’re playing in tough weather. There’s a lot of different brands and styles to choose from and these are just a few of our favourites.
Wooly Hats
FJ Knit Beanie
This classic hat has a muted style that will appeal to players looking for something that does the job and doesn’t shout about it: John Daly need not apply. Black and two shades of gray are the colour schemes on offer, which suit the winter weather. In terms of performance the knit beanie takes after FootJoy’s other popular hat style - the bobble hat - in featuring stretch knit construction giving a comfortable fit as well as a fleece earband, bringing extra comfort and warmth.

The fleece lining used in this hat is light and stretchy, so will keep you warm while hugging tight to your head. Made from 100% polyester the Storm Beanie also features a brushed interior designed to trap heat even more.

Bobble Hats
FJ Bobble Hat
FootJoy don’t just make shoes you know. In recent years the brand has expanded its offerings and among its best non-shoe products this bobble hat comes near the top of the list. It’s an elegant beast, sporting a black base with lime and charcoal lines and a lime, charcoal and black threaded bobble that looks the business. This is a knitted hat so is plenty warm and this is only improved by an inner fleece earband which makes sure your ears in particular stay warm and toasty. Although it's knitted, the hat has enough stretch to suit a variety of head shapes and customer reviews say that it is very well fitting, unlike some hats never moving about as you swing.
