The Best Winter Golf Gloves to Buy
Welcome to the first of Golfshake’s 2022 Winter Golf Buying Guides where we round up the best items and gear that you should consider buying to support your golf over the winter.
While things like clubs are good all-year round, it’s no secret that as the temperatures drop and the elements rage, summer polos, caps and airy golf shoes aren’t always the best equipment: it’s well worth the investment to get proper winter apparel, including as a bare minimum, waterproofs (both clothes and shoes) and windcheaters.
But don’t limit yourself: golf gear manufacturers are a creative bunch and there are many more handy winter golf items besides the obvious ones, including winter wheels, winter gloves and bag covers, which you should really consider investing in.
In this article, we round up some of the best winter golf gloves available now. When searching for the ideal glove you should be on the look-out for a strong, ideally water-repellent outer layer, a warm interior, good grip and flexibility. Price, of course, is another factor, but if you can afford it, performance should be prioritised: the glove is your only point of contact with the club after all!
Srixon SRX Rain Glove (RRP £15.99)
Featuring a microfibre suede palm and a specially made quick dry knit material back, the SRX rain glove gives excellent grip in wet conditions and dries quickly after being exposed to a rain shower. The dry knit backing also helps make the glove breathable and flexible.
Srixon SRX All Weather Glove (£9.99)
Golfers who wish to avoid buying specific summer and winter gloves may opt for the All Weather SRX which gives comfortable fit and durability whatever the conditions. The glove is dual-layered with cabretta leather and synthetic leather for the feel of a conventional glove with the hardiness of a winter glove. There is a microfibre suede and cabretta leather palm for secure grip.
Galvin Green Lewis (RRP £39.99)
The Lewis from Galvin Green is a cold weather glove designed to help your game thrive in the elements. By combining 100% polyester with a PU membrane and a cabretta leather palm, the glove offers a combination feel, flexibility and durability for the winter months.
