PING Unveils Autumn Winter Apparel Collections
PING has unveiled its new AW22 Clothing Range for Men & Women, which has been designed to push boundaries with an expanded line and introducing exciting technologies.
For the men's range, PING becomes one of the first brands to incorporate the innovative material, Graphene, in a golf apparel range.
Men's Range
Graphene is comprised of a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice and is the lightest, strongest, and toughest material ever discovered. It was isolated in 2004 by two researchers at The University of Manchester, whose work won them the Nobel Prize in Physics. In the all new SensorDry 2.5 Graphene Waterproof suit and Elemental Polo, PING has incorporated a Graphene print to the inside of the fabric, which helps conduct and retain heat.
This new suit offers ultimate waterproof protection, whilst remaining ultra-lightweight with flexible stretch, windproof and breathable features; as well as the addition of improved thermal properties, ensuring superior performance and protection from the elements.
Also part of PING’s waterproof range, is the popular SensorDry Pro jacket which now comes in four striking colour options as well as a Half-Zip alternative, whilst the SensorDry jacket is available in five colours, providing more choice to complete the winter look. Complementary SensorDry headwear includes a bucket hat and cap, both perfect for keeping the rain at bay.
Other key garments in the range come from the updated Norse Series, including the Norse S4 jacket, Norse S4 Zoned jacket, and Norse S4 reversible vest. Each garment is engineered for superior warmth, with insulated properties provided by PrimaLoft technology, designed to push the limits of lightweight warmth, unwavering comfort and performance.
The Norse S4 jacket is designed with clean, no-sew quilting and is fully insulated with PrimaLoft Thermoplume technology, for exceptional warmth and comfort on the coldest days. Additionally, both the Norse S4 Zoned jacket and reversible S4 vest are engineered with PrimaLoft Gold Insulation with Cross Core and focus on providing superior warmth with stretch wind-resistant fabric throughout - making these the ideal all-year round golf garments.
Together, the SensorDry and Norse Series provide the ultimate protection for the autumn/winter season, offering unrivalled performance and comfort whatever the weather. With a SensorWarm neck warmer available in three colour coordinating choices, along with six colour options for the cresting knit hat, the new AW22 range encompasses every winter essential needed for all golfers.
What’s more, the new range also includes the SensorWarm Winter trouser, engineered for comfort and protection in cold weather. The trouser provides lightweight warmth with a brushed-back stretch fabric and superior water resistance to keep you warm and dry.
Additionally, the new Elemental Polo showcases PING’s newly developed SensorWarm knitted stretch fabric which is engineered with Graphene. Like the SensorDry 2.5 Graphene Waterproof suit, the inside of the fabric incorporates a Graphene print, designed to absorb and maintain warmth. Its long sleeve polo shirt styling makes it a perfect winter base layer, with flatlock seams providing stretch and comfort and a hexagonal print at the back neck representing a visual reference to the Graphene technology.
Women's Range
PING has revealed the latest Autumn/Winter apparel range; their largest and most expansive to date. After a very successful 2021 Solheim Cup for the PING Apparel brand and with growing excitement surrounding women in golf, PING have designed a line of performance driven apparel that will offer the female golfer more choice and outfit combinations to suit their style on the course.
Two standout design stories make up this range: “Mineral Print” takes inspiration from nature, small scale geological textures, marbling, and mineral markings. The monochrome tone of this print offers versatility and longevity, with the mineral collection offering an air of elegance when paired simply with black and white.
The second design story, “Abstract Camo”, has a print that follows a similar direction towards the great outdoors and winter golf landscapes. The prints are rugged and irregular - a representation of nature’s untouched patterns and textures. This Autumn/Winter collection puts an emphasis on scaled-up patterns and interjecting contrast colours, with a bold and vibrant colour palette, giving a punch of colour to women’s apparel. When all the shades are combined and off set against navy, the outfits display a dramatic technical edge.
The new AW22 Women’s range is a broad and more complete collection; with two new waterproof jackets leading the way. The Jayda Waterproof, engineered from SensorDry technology, is a high performing, fully seam-sealed jacket, with additional features that include: brushed tricot lining, inner knitted cuffs, an adjustable collar, two-way front zip and a back vent for additional comfort and warmth. The Freda Waterproof jacket, available in three colours, is a breathable and lightweight option with playability at the core of the design. Compliment the waterproof ensemble with the new SensorDry waterproof bucket hat to provide full body protection.
The Oslo PrimaLoft jacket III is a key garment in the new collection, with a combination of SensorWarm and PrimaLoft technologies to create a fully insulated jacket, cut in a flattering silhouette. The PrimaLoft Thermoplume layer to the front panel is a water-resistant fibre that gives insulating loft, with added performance and easy-care benefits. The PrimaLoft Silver Active Insulation in the sleeves and back body comes with high thermal efficiency and superior breathability; a versatile technology to regulate your comfort whilst out on the course.
The Pip jacket is a new addition to the range and comes in two different prints. This hybrid jacket is designed with versatility, comfort and warmth in mind, thanks to a brushed-back fleece in the areas where you need extra stretch, as well as pillowy-soft Sorona Aura quilted insulation at the front and back body for core warmth. This SensorWarm garment exemplifies PING’s commitment to pushing design boundaries. The updated reversible insulated vest, Cece, comes in two different colourways and is insulated throughout with Sorona Aura: a lightweight, breathable, and partially plant-based insulation. Reverse the vest for the ability to create two different looks.
Kaitlyn, a new technical winter trouser in the AW22 range, is engineered for equal levels of comfort and protection in winter conditions. The soft and cosy nature of the brushed-back stretch fabric will ensure you feel warm and comfortable whilst out on the course. Tailored in a classic straight leg, this trouser comes in three colours which complement the palette of the collection. With a reversible neck warmer available in two different prints, as well as colour coordinating knit headwear, outfit building is made simple to keep you protected in the colder weather.
