Golfshake #BirdieClub Starts With Birdie Bonanza

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 06 Aug 2021

With thousands of net birdies, birdies and eagles made across the land, the 2021 Golfshake #BirdieClub has kicked off in spectacular fashion as members of the Golfshake Community tracked their rounds for the opportunity to benchmark their games and have the chance to win Callaway Chrome Soft Golf Balls.

As Week 1 is now completed, we are thrilled to reveal that Jason Wordley, Simon Hughes, Jeff Knowles and Guy Coulter have been randomly drawn as our first winners of this year's Challenge!

Congratulations are also due to the wider base of golfers, who produced some fine play to participate in the #BirdieClub.

Looking at the key numbers submitted into the popular Golfshake Score Tracker, since the Challenge began, we saw 4,100 birdies recorded in the system, with a stunning 54,000 net birdies all qualifying for the #BirdieClub. The more you make, the better your chance of winning!

Most strikingly, two of our golfers posted rounds with seven birdies, while three players each started their round with an eagle!

Ultimately, 30.9% of rounds tracked featured a birdie, 94.7% recorded a net birdie or better, and only 5.2% of rounds tracked didn't have a net birdie or better. Fast starts are always welcome as 27% of rounds started with a net birdie. Just 2.1% of rounds started with an actual birdie.

So, as we enter Week 2 of the #BirdieClub, we encourage you to continue tracking your scores, recording your birdies (both net and otherwise) as each entry will offer you the prospect of potentially winning a batch of Chrome Softs, while also entering you into the overall prize draw to claim an acclaimed Odyssey Triple Track Putter.
