Quinta da Marinha Completes Extensive Renovation
Quinta da Marinha has invested in its luxurious holiday villas to offer golfers the perfect blend of privacy, opulence and contemporary and stylish interior decor to accompany golfing trips.
The Portuguese golfing resort has undergone a €1.5m in refurbishment to its 27 villas. Self-containment and ultimate safety have been highly regarded in the redevelopment and the new builds will encourage families and larger groups to travel safely again.
Previously, the resort offered one-bedroom and two-bedroom options. However, each villa has been reconfigured to fix an additional single bedroom, enabling another adult or a child to stay in the same location.
The Th1 villas will now accommodate two adults and two children (or three adults and one child), while the Th2 villas will now host four adults and two children (or five adults and one child).
Away from the spacious improvements and each villa comes pre-equipped with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, kitchenette and a large outdoor terrace that sits beside its expansive garden.
The resort itself is situated less than an hour’s drive from Lisbon and its setting of Cascais boats natural beauty and surreal views across the Atlantic Ocean.
The venue’s golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and its par-71 track will provide a challenge to all golfers, regardless of ability.
The five-star Quinta da Marinha is part of the collection of the ‘Great Hotels in the World’ portfolio and its idyllic location in the heart of the Portuguese countryside is perfect for holidaymakers who are looking to escape the troubles of the previous 18 months.
For those who are still rightly wary of the COVID-19 pandemic, ‘bubble’ packages are available and picnic baskets and meals can be directly delivered from the resort’s Rocca restaurant to your villa premises.
Additionally, with safety in mind, concierges are available. They will purchase goods from supermarkets so guests will not need to leave the resort.
Quinta da Marinha Sales Director, Joao Pinto Coelho, said: “Our villa renovation programme has been completed just as we start to welcome back international visitors again.
“We feel that this type of accommodation will be extremely popular for the remainder of the year with people desperate to get away but may still want to distance themselves from the hustle and the bustle and limit their social contact. Our villas are the perfect solution – as our guests will still be able to escape to the spectacular Portuguese sunshine and enjoy everything our resort has to offer.”
Away from the golf and guests can combine their sporting activities with the resort’s outdoor pool, the heated indoor pool, in addition to the sauna, Turkish bath and sensory showers.
There is also an abundance of activities available at an additional cost, including: bike tours, horse riding, tennis and paddle courts, surfing lessons and private guided tours to Sintra and Lisbon.
Due to its ideal positioning, there are plenty of beaches nearby – including the famous Guincho Beach. Wine-tasting and historic landmarks are also available for visits, although they will need to be booked separately.
