Golfshake 2020 Highly Recommended Golf Courses

Whilst 2020 may not have been the year we all had planned, with the unexpected enforced hiatus from golf, it was great to see the resurgence and boom once golf did resume and so many golfers getting out playing and making up for lost time.
We know from our own data and increased activity on the Golfshake website and in-particular, through the use of our leading online Golf Course directory how much golf was played along with utilising the services we provide in planning where to play golf and visit.
With over 12,000 new reviews submitted to our golf course review system, we have once again compiled a list of golf courses that excelled in the golf experience they provided during 2020 based off the review and recommendation data from average golfers visiting their venue. With all of these venues earning the Golfshake Highly Recommended status for 2020.
The data compiled provides a great advert for any courses listed given that everyday golfers who have visited their venue felt the experience matched up to their expectations and they would recommend.
The criteria was adjusted for 2020 given several missed months of golf but courses still required at least 7 independent reviews, a Highly Recommended rating greater than 90% and for 2020 we also only factored in the recommendation rating and ignored the data in relation to whether a golfer would play again - this is a change to 2018 and 2019 where data from playing again was factored in.
The 2020 Highly Recommended listing features over 300 golf clubs with 66 of those courses earning the 'Outstanding' status. See which courses matched up to expectations in 2020 based on the reviews and feedback from visiting golfers.

To meet this level all the clubs below must have had over 15 independent reviews with a recommendation rating of 100%. 66 clubs meet this criteria for reviews submitted in 2020.
