Record Numbers Participate in Golfshake Early Birdie Challenge

Following the success of the Summer Golfshake #BirdieClub, we launched the Early Birdie Challenge With Golfbreaks in late September, which ran for six weeks and drew record interest from our busy community of keen golfers.

Golfers were tasked with making an 'early net birdie' in the first six holes of their rounds tracked on the Golfshake Score Tracker, something that entered them each week into a prize draw.

During the eligible period, over 20,000 golfers participated, recording a staggering 250,000 birdies or net birdies. 31% of those were an early birdie - made in the opening six holes - which perhaps indicates that many of us take a while to warm up!

Ultimately, 98% of all rounds saw at least one net birdie recorded, with 75% of them making an early birdie.

Throughout the Challenge, 12 random golfers won a sleeve of Callaway Triple Track Chrome Soft Golf Balls, with one very lucky golfer winning the ultimate prize, which was a golf break for four to the Five Lakes Resort in Essex.
