QHotels Venues Welcome Back Golfers

By: Golfshake Editor | Thu 21 May 2020

Since golf resumed across England, the UK's largest golf resort operator- Almarose Hotels & Resorts - which many will know for its management of QHotels and DoubleTree by Hilton venues, has seen a significant uptake in tee times from golfers returning to play the game in a safe environment.

Improving physical and mental wellbeing, just under 5,000 teed off across QHotels’ nine 18-hole courses in the seven days after reopening, which include Belton Woods, in Grantham, Lincolnshire; Dunston Hall, in Norwich; Oulton Hall, in Leeds; Slaley Hall, in Hexham, Northumberland; Telford Hotel & Golf Resort, in Shropshire; and DoubleTree by Hilton Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort, in Brigg.

The CEO of Almarose Hotels & Resorts, Richard Moore, said: “What a week for golf and wellbeing!

“Our staff have worked so hard in preparing courses and implementing the new ‘Play Safe’ measures, and we are delighted to see so many golfers benefit. Our thanks go out to all parties.

“We estimate golfers at our venues in the past week have walked in the region of 30 million yards and burnt nearly 7 million calories. Just imagine those numbers multiplied across the whole country and the health benefits involved!”

With longer days, the strong demand is certainly set to continue and the forthcoming bank holiday weekend is sure to prove a major draw.

“Tee times are currently available for the holiday weekend, however our advice would be to book as early as possible” added Moore.
