Callaway MAVRIK Irons - Tech Talk
Following last year's groundbreaking Epic Flash Driver, Callaway has gone a step further and utilised Artificial Intelligence for the first time in an iron through the MAVRIK range. These feature a new Flash Face Cup with A.I. to create a sophisticated face architecture for every loft, a level of engineering that is fresh for the golf industry. By implementing a different Flash Face for each iron, Callaway has boosted ball speed and increased spin robustness across the set.
These are the most complex irons that Callaway has crafted to date, with three distinct models deploying slightly different versions of the same technology, ensuring that there is something suited to all golfers. Alongside the Standard, the Pro has been engineered for higher standard golfers seeking that tailored performance, and the Max is there for those of us who need that extra touch of forgiveness, albeit the only way to truly identify the right one for you is via a custom fitting.
Golfshake's Ryan Rastall has already tested and reviewed the irons, but for a more detailed unique, we met Dr Alan Hocknell, Senior Vice President of Research & Development for Callaway Golf, who explained the innovation and manufacturing process behind the MAVRIK Irons.
