Why You Must Get Your Next Clubs Fitted
Have you been custom fitted? If not, then it's something that you must consider the next time you buy new clubs. Many golfers have preconceptions about what the process is like, and what they can expect from it, but we recently gained insight about the reality and why a fitting is an essential part of playing your best.
Visiting Callaway Golf's European HQ & Fitting Centre, Golfshake's Kevin Paver and Ryan Rastall were joined by three Golfshake Ambassadors, each of them being fitted for one of Callaway's MAVRIK drivers. Representing different handicap categories, swing speeds and techniques, the guys combined to make for a fascinating example of a fitting, being overseen by the keen eye of expert Matt Judd.
Sitting down afterwards, Matt and Ryan went through the entirety of the process, describing how each of our golfers was paired with the correct driver for them, and why the results came as a surprise, underlining the importance of being custom fitted, as even with recommendations off the shelf or marketing messages, the only way to ensure that you have the right club in your hands is to see a professional fitter who can translate the numbers into something tangible.
Ultimately, when next purchasing a driver, buying off the shelf is not the answer. Fitting is the only way to get value for money.
