Benross VX ProtoIt’s not often equipment featuring in the bags of the top golfing stars has a direct impact on the average club golfer, but for 2010 Benross Golf have pulled off a stunning coup.

The Aldila Voodoo shaft, which is regularly played by the games leading players is now available to the club golfer, fitted as standard in the gorgeous new black finished Benross VX Proto PVD driver.

The Benross VX Proto PVD driver with its 460cc head size, huge stable footprint and low centre of gravity is designed to deliver a high launching but powerful ball flight to maximise carry distance and run out. By incorporating the latest shaft and grip technology in the form of the Aldila Voodoo shaft and the hottest Golf Pride Multi-Compound White grip, Benross are redefining the quality of equipment club golfers can get their hands on for a reasonable price.

Jon Everitt Benross CEO said “We are delighted to have such a good relationship with Aldila, they trust us to use their top of the range shaft in the right way”. The Aldila Voodoo is being used by top American brands for the first time in 2010, the Benross CEO adds “Comparing the Benross pricing for our VX Proto PVD driver to the top American brand’s drivers with the same shaft option we are almost half the price; that has to mean real value for the end consumer!”

Many golfers have heard of the Aldila Voodoo before but have no idea why it’s been so widely accepted on Tour.  The Aldila Voodoo is manufactured with a spiral rib in the centre of the shaft. This spiral rib (S-Core Technology) which runs the whole length of the shaft increases stability by up to 80% over conventional graphite shafts and up to 60% against other cross-sectional stability shafts. Impressive numbers, which add up to increased accuracy and additional power transferred to the golf ball on every drive, which ultimately means longer straighter drives.

Benross advocate and eight time Ryder Cup player Neil Coles added, “Shaft and driver head technology has changed massively during my 50 years within the game. The VX Proto PVD driver and Aldila Voodoo shaft combination is the most powerful, accurate and best looking combination I’ve ever put into play.”
