The Best of Barry Rhodes on the Rules of Golf

By: Golfshake Editor | Wed 26 Sep 2018

Team Golfshake was saddened to hear of the death of Barry Rhodes, who regularly contributed articles and content related to the rules of golf on this website. Active with a blog and Twitter account, Barry engaged with golfers looking for assistance or clarification when it came to the Rules of Golf, something that he was clearly passionate about.

In a statement published on Barry's Twitter and Blog, it was confirmed that he had passed away on 21st September.

Resident of Dublin, Barry authored '999 Updated Questions on the Rules of Golf' and more recently '666 Questions on the New Rules of Golf' for 2019. He released videos on the rules, and a regular email series with his readers called the 'Rhodes Rules School'. His passion for the subject was clear, as was his ability to share that knowledge and understanding with golfers worldwide.

At Golfshake, we are fortunate to have many of Barry's articles on the website, and we have placed them together. The Rules of Golf is changing in 2019, but much of what Barry shared will remain a useful frame of reference as you look to apply the rules to your own game.

We extend our condolences to Barry's family and friends at this sad time.
