Mizuno Wave Cadence Golf Shoe Review
REVIEW: Mizuno Wave Cadence Golf Shoe
Review by Golfshake Ambassador Mel Davies
As part of the brand's range for 2018, the Mizuno Wave Cadence Golf Shoe is designed to walk 36 holes and beyond. They are based on Mizuno’s award-winning running shoes, blending the comfort and support of a high-end running product, with the lateral stability and traction needed for golf. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to test them, and here is my review.
Technical Specs
- Mizuno Wave Platform
Award-winning cushioning and stability trusted by runners worldwide.
- Water Repellent
Protection from wet grass and summer showers.
- Silver Tornado Tour Lock Spike
Highly durable, stable and easily replaced.
- X10 Carbon Rubber Sole
For durability in highest impact areas.
Looks
They look like a pair of trainers. I like this as it’s a bit different from the norm. Very casual yet stylish.
Feel
I have to say these are the most comfortable golf shoes I’ve ever worn. From the first time I put them on you could tell straight away that these were going to be very comfy. I always like a lightweight shoe and these definitely fit the bill.
Performance
I’ve now been wearing these for over a month and they still feel and look as good as the first time I put them on. I even played four rounds in a week and my feet felt fine at the end. Very stable through the swing and even when there’s a bit of dew on the ground your feet stay both dry and and stable.
Pros
Very light and very comfortable. Also a decent price in the current climate.
Cons
Been fortunate not to play when it’s been raining in these so the only draw back may be when they get overly wet but as of yet I can’t confirm if that would be the case.
The Bottom Line
Fantastic pair of shoes that really are ready to go from the box. No breaking in and very lightweight. I have to be honest I would never have considered Mizuno for golf shoes before trying these but I will now.
