Discovering Scott Readman Concepts
Article by Golfshake Ambassador Mel Davies who visited the 'Putter Cave' in May 2018.
In 2009 the Scott Readman Concepts company was founded, joined by his Creative Director Emma they began the process of creating a collection of world class putters, covers and accessories. Focused on quality handmade equipment that would not only perform but exhibit a unique elegance and panache. Every angle, shape, texture, and detail has been explored in creating these products. A 3rd member to the SRC team is Corinna who previously worked for Pro Quip. SRC moved to their current location around 18 months ago.
SRC putters are crafted to the world's most exacting standards. The heads are CNC milled to ensure aerospace precision and accuracy. They shape, weld, stamp, finish and paint fill every piece by hand, reflecting their belief in tradition and artisan workmanship. Modern techniques, timeless designs. They also offer a fully bespoke or personalised option on putters.
The putters are of the highest specs and looks you will wish to see. All the finishing touches are done by hand and some can be "in progress" for up to 6 months. Various head designs, finishes and stampings (all done by hand) make them a truly unique bespoke putter. The putter and head covers once more are all limited numbers so when you get one of these you really are getting a "Limited Edition". Materials are all sourced with individuality in mind as are the designs.
Whatever you choose to get from the SRC range you will not be disappointed. Top quality products, very limited numbers, hand made/finished give you the best you could wish for your money. As Scott says "bespoke" products are what SRC are about. Also SRC also have the following already using their products: Jordan Smith, Ross Fisher, Alex Noren, Danny Willet, Gareth Bale, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Sir Tony Jacklin, Ian Poulter, Byeong Jun An, Eddie Pepperell, Joost Luiten, Simon Dyson and local favourite Chris Wood. Each pro gets a gold headcover made with each tour win.
