Lamkin Celebrates Rose's Olympic Success
Lamkin Corporation is celebrating the triumph of its Brand Ambassador Justin Rose in Rio. The Englishman managed to overcome the Open champion Henrik Stenson to secure the Gold Medal for Great Britain at the conclusion of the first men's golf competition in the world's biggest sporting event in 112 years. During his performance, the former U.S. Open winner used custom Lamkin REL ACE grips on his swinging clubs and Lamkin Deep Etched Paddle on his putter, which he used so effectively to get up and down on the 72nd hole to see off the imperious Swede.
Rose has been a long time user of Lamkin grips and continues to trust the brand’s products throughout his set. The custom REL ACE grips he uses on his swinging clubs are built up versions of Lamkin’s standard REL ACE production grips. Rose likes his grips a little thicker than standard, especially on the bottom hand, so Lamkin produced a bespoke REL ACE just for him, so that it fits first time, every time, without the need for extra taping. The REL ACE benefit from Lamkin’s super-tacky ACE 3GEN material which dampens vibration and combines with a unique keyhole pattern to maximise contact with the golfer’s hands and provide an incredibly secure connection to the club. The Deep Etched paddle putter grip as preferred by Rose benefits from a deep etched pattern for extra traction and stability while the paddle design promotes control and enhances shot feedback.
In the lead up to the Games, Rose has been one of the most vocal supporters of golf’s return and with this win he declared it to be his best ever day on the golf course. With a result like this for Team G.B. and one of the best finishes seen in any golf tournament in recent years, Lamkin couldn’t be prouder to have played a small part in the success of the game’s first champion in over 100 years.
