Revolutionary CAPTO Putting Devices Give Golfers a Valuable Insight

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 01 Dec 2023

Golfers in the UK have seen a noticeable improvement in their scores on the green due to the introduction of revolutionary CAPTO Putting Devices as part of putting lessons with an increasing number of PGA coaches.

The CAPTO system is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, as well as for on course analysis. The cutting-edge system incorporates a small screen that is attached to the putter shaft and provides precise feedback on performance for both players and coaches.  The system comes in two forms - one for coaches and elite players, and one for recreational golfers that want to practice with their own device allowing for accurate data analysis for players of any skill level who want to understand how to consistently make a putt.

By utilising the state-of-the-art technology, PGA coaches have been able to offer specialised putting lessons and analyse an unparalleled range of data parameters. This can be used to identify and correct any putting stroke issues and the proof is in the results.

CAPTO Putting Device

“I urge any golfer, from those just starting out to the scratch player wanting to hone their skills, to try CAPTO as the results will be instant,” said James Jankowski, PGA Elite Putting Coach based at Old Ford Manor Golf Club in Barnet and the official CAPTO expert in the UK.

“There’s no better software out there when it comes to analysis of the putting stroke and I use it for every single lesson. Not only does CAPTO technology gather almost all conceivable data for the putting stroke, but it also breaks the entire stroke down to identify problem areas. This makes my job as a putting coach far easier and it’s very simple to understand for whoever I’m giving a lesson to,” he added.

Specialist Putting Coach Scott Anderson from the Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club in Northwich, Cheshire, has been using the CAPTO system for five years and now sees a lot more putting coaches popping up around the country. “Since putting accounts for up to 40% of shots played in a round, it’s a key area to focus on and players improve more quickly when they can understand what’s going on by seeing the numbers themselves. I’ve added another 150-200 players to my regular putting lessons in the last year as results with CAPTO system have been seen at many levels of the game,” said Scott, who counts recent Clutch Tour champion George Booth among the players to benefit from his coaching.

Jordan Baker, another PGA Elite Putting Coach based at London’s Royal Mid-Surrey in Richmond, introduced the CAPTO system to members two months ago and since then his one-hour sessions using the pioneering sensor and video analysis have been booked out each week. “CAPTO enables me to improve putting performance much faster. As well as looking at set up, putting stroke and equipment, we also include practice drills based on the analysis that are emailed to clients along with lesson notes,” added Jordan, who also helped his fellow teaching pro fix his putting arc and make more putts within 10 minutes.

“CAPTO technology has been described as a game changer by many of the world's top coaches and players and contributed to 25 global victories since its launch,” said Francesca Ceccaroni, CEO of CAPTO Golf. “Measuring is an important source of knowledge and knowledge enables you to look beyond and improve yourself. Our company motto - Why guess when you can measure? - sums up the value of our products in delivering the most accurate putting stroke data on the market and helping golfers to improve their scoring and confidence on the greens,” she added.
