Cleveland Wedges Video Review - CBX and RTX 6

Earlier this year Cleveland Golf released the latest in their category leading wedges range with the launch of the Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore wedge and the Cleveland CBX Full-Face 2 wedge.

The RTX 6 is designed to deliver high-spin shots from any lie through the use of HydraZip, UltiZip and advanced ZipCore technologies, whilst the CBX Full-Face 2 wedge provides forgiveness and versatility for golfers looking to get creative around the greens.

Ryan Rastall, Golfshake Equipment Expert, was sent the CBX and RTX 6 wedges to test and shares his thoughts in the video below.

Cleveland CBX ZipCore Wedges

The Cleveland CBX wedge features a compact cavity back shape that includes a Gelback TPU insert that produces an exceptionally soft feel. However, there is plenty of forgiveness in the clubs, which should appeal to higher handicaps and those who are inconsistent from shorter range. ZipCore is responsible for optimising the mass weight location where you strike the ball, achieved through a lightweight low-density core that dampens vibration and increases MOI for further forgiveness on every single shot.

Cleveland RTX ZipCore 6 Wedges

Greenside spin is essential to having a reliable short game, which is what the Cleveland RTX 6 wedges specialise in. HyrdaZip technology features a brand-new face blast that has been created to boost spin performance – particularly during wet conditions. Similarly to the CBX, ZipCore is present, which means striking the ball has never been easier. Compared to previous years, sharper grooves have been incorporated which allows the user to slice through grass and debris at contact.
