Which shaft for my driver?
I'm going to get myself a Ping G15 driverI currently don't use a driver as I hit my Ping g10 stiff tfc pretty well off the tee (on a good day!! Lol) but now feel the addition of a driver would help.I don't know which shaft I should be looking at, the stock stiff tfc or 1 if the aldila Serrano's or voodoo'sAny suggestions??

Speak to Ivan Sanders, he is the expert. ;-)

You need to try them Del as this is the only way you will find out. The Serrano in the G15 is great and I got a fantastic launch, but I generated so much backspin that it just dropped out of the sky. The Voodoo and DVS are good (got the DVS in my fairways), and I've got the R.I.P. in my 910 D2 driver which is a good match up.
As Ivan has alluded to, it doesn't atter what anyone else thinks, everyone has their own swing and preferences for ball flight, roll, carry, etc. Get yourself somewhere where you can try a few different shafts in the same head and see what works best for you. Any authourised Ping fitting centre (assuming you want to get the G15) will have the ability for you to do this

Del,
I would suggest going to a proper fitting center, what you think suits you. may actually not when you start hitting balls, its not just about flex, there are the different kick points, length and "having it pured" to consider. Try Oulton Hall in leeds. great centre.

All good info above but I do think it is down to your individual swing speed so try them all:my rule of thum is the whippier/softer the shaft the more distance.

Patrick, sort of true,
if you use (for example) a senior shaft, and you have a slow swing speed this can indeed help hence the reason these shafts are whippy, seniors tend to have a slow swing speed so it increases distance for them,
but if you have a fast swing, the club face can be left open/closed or anywhere, so can reduce accuracy and distance.
I really recommend spending a few hours getting properly fitted, this will take into account Shaft type, shaft length, club head type/size, grip size/type, you may even need one extra layer of tape under the right grip to get it just right.
Dont just buy off the shelf if you are serious about your golf (and when i say serious) I mean beating your mates!
