Pennington Flash Golf Course Hole in One
I am delighted to share my news of now joining the 'Hole in one' Club.
A 5 wood was taken off the tee on the 4th hole par 3 and with a bit of luck and a jump on the green it hit the flag and sank in the hole!!
To say im happy is an understatement!!!

Congratulations on the hole in one, something I am still waiting for.
I grew up in Leigh and played first ever holes of golf around Penny Flash, how is it playing theses days?

Hi Chris,
It's only the second time i have played here to be honest, i have a 5 day memebership at Runcorn so i played with a mate today as we can just turn up an play.
the course is very very wet which made things a bit more difficult and also the greens are like putting on the fairway compared to runcorns quality greens. i birdied the first so had a good feeling about the round and finished 6 over after the 9 so things going in the right direction now.

Hi Neil,
we went off the first at about 1.30 this afternoon, i had a blue top and shorts on and me mate was in a warrington shirt.
How did you get on? Course was very very boddy today!!

Hi Kyle
I got around in 65, I've only started playing this year and thats my best score on there. I'm made up that I only lost one ball!
We went on about half ten. It's ok on there for the price, I can't knock it

Hi John,I hope thats a good think when you say 'says it all'I must admit quite possibly the best weekend of my life.. Warrington win the league leaders sheild and i get my first hole in one..

Unfortunately, I think John is talking about your mate wearing a Warrington shirt whislt playing golf. Not suitbale clothing for a golf club in some peoples eyes - I would have to agree with him though.

I despair, Chris, if this is progress then I want nothing to do with it.

I think some of the progress that golf clubs have made over the last few years to easing off on certain club rules has been great and is introducing the game to many more players, especially the young players.
But how much does it cost for a polo shirt - £3? Surely everybody has a pair of smartish trousers? I just don't understand when people turn up in jeans and football/rugby shirt - as much as I love Warrington RLFC.

There was a load of casuals on at the weekend, even though Pennington is a muni, you'd think they'd have some sort of code.
I've played Poulton Park a few times this year - one of their rules is that you can't have your braces on show!

I would just like to point out that i was wearing appropriate golf clothing. What my friend wears bares no impact on myself. Pennington Golf Course is a Pay and Play course with no restrictions to clothing. i must admit that i was also shocked when he turned up wearing it but who am i to tell him what to wear when there are no restrictions???
I am a member of Runcorn Golf Club which is strict with dress code and i adhear to those rules 100%, so please do not tarnish me John and Chris purely to what a friend was wearing.

Seriously, you say, Richard. What about the post you have just made, wasn't much about the hole in one, was there, just you having a pop.
One can only asume that you agreed with the standard of dress that was mentioned.

Hi Richard,
Sorry for the late reply i gave up looking at this post when it got turned into what a friend was wearing at the time instead of me celebrating my ace.
I too am a member of a club which has a strict dress code which i stick too when i play but this course has no dress code (pay and play) and my friend chose to wear what he wanted.
Anyway i agree with everything you mentioned in your post and thank you for the kind words.
Cheers
Kyle
