First Matchplay and Didnt stand a chance!

Well, just got back in from my first matchplay event and got a absoloute thrashing.

I played off 23 and my opponent off 12.

It didnt help that I couldnt hit a golf ball, but even if I was playing my best I would still have got beaten.

By the end of the first nine he was 6 up (I won one and we halved 2) but adding his strokes he was 1 over par (gross)!

The second nine he played 4 over par so he shot total 75 (par 70) so 7 shots under his handicap.

You can console yourself that your opponent played out of his skin, so must have enjoyed his match with you. That's what we do it for Matt. Good luck.
