SSS help

Posted by: user411560 | Fri 12th Aug 2011 20:51 | Last Reply

Hi,

Can anyone give some help please regarding sss - have started getting into golf lately and haven't played for years.   I entered the course name on here in order to input details of my round.  However, there are 3 possible options for inputting my round on the course: par 66 sss 62, par 66 sss 64, par 66 sss 66 - all off the yellow tees, which is what i played from.  Anyone know which one i should choose to input my score?!  A bit confused as to why there are 3 possible choices.   I can't see anything on the scorecard to help me choose.  Any help as to why there might be 3 choices would also be great...

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Phil

If you look on the scorecard there will be a spot (normally top left or top right) which is coloured with a small white, yellow and red area.  In each of these, there is a par which indicates the par for that tee.  It normally tells you the SSS for that tee next to it

Cheers.  Been really enjoying playing although found it a bit frustrating this evening.

I scored 102 on a par 66.  Been playing quite a lot over the last 6 weeks - pitch and putts, driving range, going on local field but this is only my second 'big' course.  Hadn't played for years until 6 weeks ago, but watching the open gave me some sort of bug!

When i was younger i used to play with my right hand above the left hand, even though i was right handed.  Not sure how this happened.  So, i've changed to the correct grip (left hand above right hand).  I'm sure a lesson will help when i've got the cash.  Been watching videos on you tube for tips!
