1st & 10th TEEs in majors

Posted by: user16106 | Thu 16th Jun 2011 23:22 | Last Reply

Am I correct in thinking , after watching the US open on tv that "The Open" is the only major where players only start on the 1st tee? Or am I wrong?

Dave CAC handed Geordie.

I'm not sure about that Dave but I am sure that I wouldn't fancy taking my first shot of the day over the water to the par 3 10th.  I know they are all professionals and have warmed up for a couple of hours before hand but it still must be a nervy shot to make.  Couldn't believe Phil left his short and in to the water - what a bad round he had!  Even when he was playing off the fairway he missed the green.

not 100% sure. I wouldn't have thought there would be enough time for all groups to go off the 1st on a Thursday and Friday, so they must be used!
