Hi All

Is there anyway I can find out what degree my Sand Wedge is?

Its a John Letters T8 SW, cant find it anywhere on their website.

Probably 56deg, but not really relevant to its use.

Only reason I ask is because I won a Cleveland CG16 wedge today, not too sure which one but wondered if it would replace one of my current wedges.

Even if the new wedge is the same loft the "Bounce" is likely to be different (definition http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounce_(golf)).

The wedge I use out of the sand had 13* of bounce whereas I have a gap wedge with 8* that I use off the fairway.

I find that I thin the ball off the fairway with the high bounce SW,

James, I am very surprised that you hit them thin off the fairway, this is one of my favourite shots, especially from very firm ground utilising the bounce of a sand wedge.

You are probably forgetting that the leading edge will be well off the ground when soled as it is sitting on the bounce line. The secret is to ensure that the the leading edge gets down to the ball with the bounce preventing any digging in.
