North West Golf Club?

For the last 18 months I have been playing pay and play courses, and despite the fact that I am enjoying it and I like the flexibility, I am now looking to 'join' a golf club.

Are any of the posters on here from the North west ( I am based in Warrington, so I would want something local to me) and are members of a club?

If so could you share our experience, what is the club like, members, price etc?  I am 22 years old and compared to most members that I see at golf clubs this is fairly young.  Despite not dressing like Rickie Fowler I still get some odd looks off members of other clubs that I visit and play.

Most of the people I play with are based in North Wales, and I would love to become a member of one of the clubs I have played there, but it is too far to travel for the majority of my rounds.

Cheers for that Phil, I have got a 2 week break coming up soon and I am looking to play at around 10 different courses to make my decision, I will get a round booked there and see what I think!
