shortening your backswing

Posted by: user259181 | Fri 8th Apr 2011 21:16 | Last Reply

Chaps,

I recently hit a patch of bad form with irons and driver....My first real period where by I've not enjoyed playing.

Now I've watched myself back on a recording of me at the range and I seem to be coiling a hell of a lot on my backswing....my driver is getting well past parallel.

I've read a few articles that say a shortened backswing can help with distance and consistancy.

I will give it a go when I'm next at the range, but do you guys have any views or experiences along these lines?
