What is the point!
I had a round of golf yesterday and when I arrived at the first tee the white and yellow markers were next to each other.
What is the point of doing this?
It was only on Saturday that they brought out the yellow markers after the winter when we only had the white markers out.
Does your club do anything like this?

This happens a lot at Pay and play courses, Russ, where the green staff is mostly composed of labourers working under the control of one qualified greenkeeper.
This is done to avoid more wear than necessary on the tees, but of course it then makes a mockery of the printed card where you keep your score.
My club now has three qualified greenkeepers plus the usual labourers. It also helps that each tee is a separate entity, blue, white yellow and red.

ClubsCourses with small Tees getting a lot of play will do this.
Too many people want to 'play off the tips' so go the the Markers furthest back, not the 'Tee of the day'. So Greenkeepers put Back Markers next to TotD Markers and only put them on the Back tees on Competition Days.

Peter alice once said "Only very good and very bad players make a mess of the tee boxes!" He also said the ladies tees are usually spotless. I make a mess of tees LOL.
Dave CAC handed Geordie.
