right hand blisters.....

Posted by: user259181 | Tue 1st Mar 2011 15:48 | Last Reply

For some reason (i'm guessing grip issues) I've started getting a blister/loss of skin on the right hand side of my right ring finger, at the knuckle nearest the tip......this is where the finger connects with the left index finger when gripping the club.

This seems to have coincided with an effort to get my left hand grip more on top of the shaft as I was guilty of letting it slip under the shaft.

It is quite painful and during a round or a the range I seem to lose alittle more skin in that area and I'm now thinking that I will have to stop until it has healed up fully, but do any of you seasoned golfers have any pointers on how to reduce the possibilty of these blisters

cheers

Lewis

Buy a grip trainer and fit it to a spare club. That will show you where you are going wrong.

Don't take any notice of Dave, Lewis.  He can't even point in the right direction when he swings a golf club.

It's not some stiching on your glove is it ?

Tim - Lol you are only jealous of such a beautifully crafted lefty swing.

It is a moulded grip. Not  a gimmick or legal in play. It told me in 5 seconds what a pro had been trying to do for ages. Be prepared for a couple of months of pain afterwards as you have to sort everything else out as well.

Totally worth it though.
