New World No 1

Posted by: user38216 | Mon 28th Feb 2011 08:46 | Last Reply

Congratulations to Kaymer on his new spot at the top. I think he'll hold on to it for a bit longer than Mr Westwood.

Unless Lee can win the Masters of course!

The Europeans are now dominating the top 4 spots relegating Tiger to 5th, which is his lowest ranking before he won the 1997 Masters.

Well done to Luke & Kaymer for providing yet another all European World Golf Matchplay final.

I think I heard one of the commentators say that in (about) 2004 there was only one European (Lee Westwood) in the top 100 World Golf rankings.  Now 9 in the top 20....

Don't worry Chris, sure he will be back soon.

Westy needs to keep Nottingham on the golfing map, as well as Golfshake of course

Chris Watmore

there's more chance of Westwood reclaiming the no-1 spot, than Tiger, as i said in a previous post way back in November the Europeans will dominate world golf in 2011, not a bad start. [ also watch out for young Italian Manassero, i think he will have a good year.]

Although I'm sure Martin won't be regalling his fellow pro's with stories of how he met Christopher Watmore once, no matter what his position in the world rankings.

What a childish attitude just because of some imaginary sleight.

Chris

I find it very sad that you base who is a great golfer/ Worlds no-1, on whether they acknowledge you or not, have you ever thought that day Westwood never said hello to you he may have had other things on his mind or simply never heard you. Whenever Ive seen Westwood he always seems happy to stop and sign autographs and chat with the public unlike your other favourite player Tiger and whether you like Westwood or not i find it very disrespectful that you resort to calling him mongy.[ as Tim said very childish].

I have little respect for anyone that uses the term "mongy".
