Will there be a new no-1 come Sunday Afternoon
What with the Qatar masters this week having a strong field, including Westwood and Kaymer, will there be a new no- 1 come the end of the tournament.
As most people may know, Ive been a big backer of Lee Westwood, but the way Kaymer has been playing and with Westwood not playing too much golf over the last 4 or 5 months i would be surprised if he doesn't loose top spot, as it will take 2 or 3 tournaments to get back to his best.
You also have Casey and G-mac flying up the rankings..

I'm from Nottingham so it pains me to say it but I think Kaymer could do it.
Only issue I have is that the world golf rankings are more confusing than the 'rules of golf' and golf handicaps! more permutations than the last day of the footy season!

John I watched some of the PGA Tour footage last night and in between the coverage switch over with the US broadcasters, Golf Channel to CBS, they said 'let's watch some highlight from one of the great past events..' and guess what it was Tiger.
Yep no disputing his recent dominance but there is more to golf than just TW

I also think Westy could lose top spot as Kaymer is playing some very good consistent golf. If he does then well done to him.
I think it will be good to see a few different people at the top, makes it good viewing for us.
Darren, I agree, it's one of the reasons I stopped watching PGA golf as the coverage was just "Tiger this, Tiger that"
Going to check what the odds are now at William Hill for the Qatar.

The Dubai Desert Classic should be interesting then, looks like the world top three are having a shoot out.

Its exciting at the moment....going into every tournament there are so many names you expect to see somewhere near the top and always one or 2 up there that you would expect to see.
Kaymer, Westwood, Casey, Woods, Mickelson, Poulter, McDowell, McIlroy, Molinari's.........the list goes on and on.
Its great to see for the viewer, the players and for the sport.....has it ever been such a strong field??

Can you imagine if the top world 3 were all in the same group for the 1st 2 days! Now that would be great viewing
