Lateral Movement

Posted by: user50354 | Tue 29th May 2007 12:36 | Last Reply

Are you aware of your lateral movement during your swing..?

I never really considered this but since developing my swing under the David Blair swing build programme I have come to a point when this need incorporating into my swing.

I have been practising this lateral move lately and have become very aware of it - done timiously it really promotes a good clean strike (for me anyway)..

Any one else..?

I think,for what it's worth,that if you make a good turn/coil you automatically make a slight lateral move.As long as it's not a sway.I think i need David Blain,more than your gadgy,mate.

Aye Tony, the sway would be the "kiss of death".

Have a look at the full swing exercise. David shows you the lateral movement exercise in there.

You know me mate. I can't speak high enough of him. All felt wierd at first but now most of it is 2nd nature.

It is pretty good but i find it hard to time the wrists/hands well enough in the full swing.I got some of those dalton mccrary's video's,have you seen them?I just can't see that working.Aanyway the back problem is getting a little better, have to go for some physio, looking forward to pain free golf on sunday for a change(figers crossed).
