Golf for me - Spa for my wife

Can any members recommend a good weekend break in the UK that combines golf for me and a nice spa/pampering for my non-golfing wife?

Barrie any preference of UK location ?

Hey, stop right there!! What are you thinking!! Taking your wife on a golf weekend??

We have one weekend away each year. It is always a fantastic weekend away with the golfing lads and a great break away from hectic family/work life. If we starting bringing the wives it would just not be the same.

Having said that, we went to Bowood in Wiltshire a couple of years ago. It is a really nice place, recently improved. The golf is great. Not so sure of the spa but it looks the sort of place that would handle that sort of thing well.

If you are feeling really flash, you can rent out the cottage - an added bit of luxury, private dining etc. Apparently Charles used to take Camilla there!!

The De Vere Hotel chain offer 2 people for £170, this gives you both 1 nights stay, breakfast and evening meal on the first day plus full use of the Spa facilities and 2 rounds of golf... We played Herons Reach Blackpool and couldnt recommend it highly enough.
