So who is playing where this weekend??

Probably not for me this weekend. Slightly dodgy ankle.......

Kenilworth GC, proper Golf Club

I'm playing at Southern Valley on Sunday at about midday.  Will be the second round of the year so not expecting too much.  I'm going to go to the driving range for about an hour before hand for a bit of a warm up and to try and remember what I was told on my lesson which was prior to the snow.

playing for the first time in about 6 weeks on Sunday. Just had a lesson and was striking it quite nicely, so hoping for a nice score!

Played at Sharpley, Co Durham on Thursday and out at Knotty Hill, Sedgefield tomorrow :-)))

Is bloody cold tho - think my snowboard thermals will be out tomorrow lol

Played Kenilworth with a member a few weeks ago, nice course similar to my own (Ingestre Park)

Played at my home course yesterday, we were supposed to have had a betterball matchplay comp which we won without even hitting a ball!! One of the opponents didn't turn up because he had gout & his partner couldn't find a replacement!

We joined a group of seniors for a social & they took our money!! One chap came in with 38 points with 3 blobs, I called him a bandit jokingly & he said "Well last week I got 48 points with 2 blobs"!! Apparantly put a scorecard in his hands on medal day & he goes to pot!

I thought I stood a chance after 9 holes as I was 5 over but the temp greens got the better of me on the back 9.

Played yesterday at my local course. Our private members course (Duke) was closed to protect it due to the amount of water on the course.  Played the second course and despite floods of water and lots of slushy mud everywhere and virtually every ball pluggingj, I managed 91. Even shots pitched from just off the green would plug unless first contact was on the green. There are no temp tees or temp greens and so this seemed an okay score for me at this time of year. Roll on the summer and more progress in my second year of golf.
