First ball struck in 2011.

Did anyone hit a ball before 8:05am on 1st Jan?

I have the honour at my home club!

Did not manage to play new years day, but Ive just got in from playing a round and considering the playing conditions i managed to hit my handicap, and really should have scored a few more points as i was striking the ball really well. But i really enjoyed it as it was the first time i had hit a ball for a month and it was great to finally play a game, what seems like ages....!!!!! 

Played in a comp today & shot a gross 80 which inlcuded a 6 on a par 3 & a double bogey. Was hitting the ball sweet & I wasn't even thinking about my swing.

Hope this is the start of 2011 good times?

so far this year i have played twice and shot in the high 90's twice!!!  Which is an absolute shambles considering i usually score in the low 80's. Hopefully this isnt a sign of things to come this year.

Yeh i forgot to put them on golf shake as i handed them into my club to get my handicap. But i scored 87 today in the freezing cold so the panic is over hopefullt for now atleast.

I cannot beat 8:05 on Jan 1st but I can beat the Gtour staffers LOL. Played today with the Essex boys at Belfairs GC and whooped their collective rears.

No I can't beat 08:05 either David but I was on the first tee about 9:20 new years day.  Didn't play great but was nice to get out for the first time in a couple of months.  Certainly helped clear the cobwebs from a few drinks the night before.

Cant beat that time but have now played twice this year, yesterday and today. shooting 108 and 107....would like to see this come down to mid 90's.

I wish i could have been on the first tee on new years day.

Got knocked off my motorbike on christmas eve.

only broken ribs and a broken bike thankfully.

Hope its not a sign of the year ahead.
