It's a funny old game ..............

Posted by: user259247 | Mon 22nd Nov 2010 14:43 | Last Reply

Played the wife on Saturday at our local course.

Couldn't get a T time before 12-30 so knew we could possibly run out of light. My back had been aching all week at work and the knee that underwent an arthroscopy earlier this year was playing up because of the freezing cold weather. I had also decided to try a new type of ball (Titleist DT Solo Yellow).

When we got to the course we were queing at the first tee, playing off mats, and the greens were not in too good a condition. All in all, bad karma and wasn't impressed.

Shot my best score ever at 106 ! and beat her for only the third time ever. (She has made me change my status in the handicap section on here from "beginner" to "man" which has reduced my handicap from 36 to 28 which I'm happy about.)

7 to go to break 100

Happy days!

My friend uttered the words you used as a title here when we played on Saturday. I was in a bunker and remained there after two shots. Third one struck it perfectly and landed right on the green!

Good luck shaving those seven off!
