Handicap validity

hi all, does anyone know if the handicap certificate on this site is recognised on decent courses in the UK, I'm not currently a club member and need a certificate for a Scotland trip. I was about to up-grade but wondered if anyone knew if they'd except it...

Most courses will accept golfshake handicaps,but to be sure ring the course before hand.
