I enquired a couple of months ago and got an email back saying they weren't sure about accepting it (and I quote) because they "didn't want a load of bandits taking over the competition".

They did, however, suggest i sign-up, pay the full entry fee and, if a few months later they made a definite decision, I could get my money back.

I decided, given their attitude, not to bother.

Cheers for that james. I was going to rush my £50 deposit through then face the consiquences later. If they think a golfshaker could be a bandit then anyone could raise their handicap to the max 18 even if they were a club member, should they wish. Although I wouldnt like to think anyone would go to those lengths for a bandit handicap.

I say fair play to them. You can't just reset your handicap at a congu club but nothing stopping you doing it on here. Mind you bandits exist everywhere. David, I'd be interested to know how a club player could just reset their handicap? For me to do it would mean NR'ing quite a few medals!
