Hi James

I'm very much interested in joining the competition.  I see that you are the only one confirmed so far, are there more players attending?

Payment is to be made before the 3rd Oct, where do I send payment?

Kind Regards
Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for replying.

We've got 28 confirmed players at the moment and you'd be quite welcome to join us.

For more details you can register on CGL's site (free) and see some of our other games: http://www.countygolfleague.com

For payment, I'll pm you my PayPal address.

James

Hi James

Having only taken up the game this year i'm somewhat apprehensive about the competition given that my grasp of the rules are probably not as good as the other guys I'd be playing alongside.  Whilst I have a fair idea of the basic rules, I have never played in a competition and have never played Stableford.

I definitely don't want to encumber another player with my lack of knowledge, but would help and assistance be forthcoming should I be unclear on a point, one of which would most definitely be scoring?

I await your answer and advice and if you feel I would be a little out of my depth I understand, however if you feel it won't be a problem then I will book my place and make payment tomorrow (Sunday)

Kind Regards and many thanks for your assistance.
Mark

Mark,

Please don't worry about anything, it really won't be a problem.  We have a large range of golfers taking part, from handicaps of 6 to 28, many of whose names you will be familiar with if you've browsed the Golfshake forums.

We're a friendly lot and, should you need any help or advice it will definitley be forthcoming.  I'm doing the tee times today and will definitely make sure you're out with someone who knows what they're doing.

You might have to put up with a bit of mickey-taking, but then we all do!

Look forward to meeting you next Sunday.

James.

We now have 29 players including you Mark, meaning we have eight times reserved.

This means we have three spaces left for next Sunday.  If anyone else would like to join us, please let me know.  First tee time 11.30.
