Shane,

Not played it recently but did so late last year. I too had heard a number of stories about the rough. Our company Christmas do was at Selsdon Park last year so I planned to combine it with a game of golf.

I played the course probably late November and really couldn't see what all the fuss was about. It struck me as a fairly average course - nothing too penal and nothing too challenging. I'm not sure it deserves its price tag but the setting probably hikes this up. Selsdon Park itself is outstandingly beautiful.

On the morning of the Christmas do, we woke up to 2 foot of snow outside. Now, I've played golf in nearly every weather imaginable but even we had to call that one off!!

Enjoy the course

I have not played Selsdon Park for over thirty years but it was always a nice pleasant course to play. I did watch an exhibition match there one day when the pro from Croham Hurst, a certain Harry Weetman shot a 58 round there. One of the days longest hitters but with a touch round the greens to die for.

Shane havn't played there for a couple of years. Only advice I could give is dont go left off the 1st tee as there was a driving range over the hill and 3 bacon rolls & 3 coffees was £27. Quite good course though.
