Advice

Need some advice on various golf formats

Myself and partner have decided to challenge the local bragger at my snooker club to a bit of a comp, what we have decided that 2 rounds, a course of our choosing and a course of the braggarts choosing. We have gone for matchplay pairs betterball format (thankyou Tiger Woods 2011 on the xbox for helping me understand how it works).

However, we are both high handicappers and we are not sure of what the braggart plays off. (i do suspect that he probably doesn't know what one is, he likes to just brag about how far he can hit it with is Calloway Diablo driver, 300+ every time but he doesn't know what SSS means. And the fact that he has a Diablo gets dropped into at least once every 4-5 comments he makes) Would matchplay better ball be the best format to choose or would we be better off playing stableford.

Also any tips on how to approach playing tactics would be appreciated

SDS

p.s. Any recomendations for society software as I am thinking of setting one up at my local snooker club and at West Notts college

Matchplay every time, best format for playing against somebody else.

Know the rules and catch him out every time he breaks one of them!

Keep telling him how impressed you are by how far he hits it.Tell him you've never seen anyone hit that far except on TV, you watch how hard he swings after that nugget!

The real good one is when you knock one past him a "If only I could hit this Driver right" always gets them.
