Having moved to Rugby from London recently am looking for affordable golf courses for to play. Thus far have only tried Ansty Golf Centre, which wasnt bad, so any recomendations?

Brandon Wood, just outside of Coventry is good value and a decent test. Not too good in the winter though, as the River Avon flows through there and flooding can occur.

Whitefields GC is quite near you John, head out towards Dunchurch and its on the A46. Hellidon Lakes is also not too far away. The Windmill is also on the the A46 but on the other side of Coventry, and the West Midlands in Balsall Common is another course that is easily affordable.

John, have you tried Rugby Golf Club Clifton Rd.

I haven't but have been told it's a decent track.

Hi John

Have you played Staverton Park, I am the golf manager and would be happy to arrange a complimentary game for you as you are new to the area.
