Press Release_______________________________________________TPE Ltd is supporting the Seve Ballesteros Foundation in partnership with Cancer Research UK by holding a Sporting Legends golf event with Langland Bay Golf Club, Swansea. With the Ryder Cup in Wales and the British dominance in the game of golf, we are hoping that with the game on such a ‘high’ that we can take time to remember one of the true forefathers of the European Tour and staunch  Ryder Cup player and Captain – Seve Ballesteros. Beyond doubt Seve has given pleasure to the sporting world with his cavalier approach to golf, Seve’s winning ways have inspired many of us to pick up a golf club and try to emulate his game. Seve has had to face the greatest challenge of his life, brain cancer, a condition which affects many but is not widely reported. This is why Seve has established the Seve Ballesteros Foundation in partnership with Cancer Research UK, to raise money for life saving brain cancer research. TPE Ltd and Langland Bay Golf Club are honoured to support Seve in this new challenge and proceeds raised through fundraising games and the auctions on the day will go to Cancer Research UK’s brain cancer research. The event will take place on 27th August 2010. Sporting personalities include former Ryder Cup members Gordon Brand Jnr. and Paul Way. Amateur golf is supported by former Walker Cup player Neil Roderick. Rugby’s Players Player of the Year Shane Williams along  with Welsh Internationals, Huw Bennett and Jonathan Thomas. Footballers include Welsh International footballer John Hartson and Swansea FC Captain Allan Tate, who will be playing on the day. Teams (of three) are invited on registering to play, to make a bid to have one of these top sportsmen as a part of their team on the day. The day will be 18 hole stableford event followed by dinner and a Q&A with the sporting personalities.
