Footjoy vs Stuburt
Hi,
I'm in the market for a new pair of shoes & I was all set to buy the Footjoy Dryjoy Pros until I saw the Stuburt Helium Pros...these look seriously comfy shoes & with endorsements from David Howell & Darren Clarke they must have something about them.
There's not much difference in price as if you shop around you can get either pair for about £69.99 to £79.99.
Has anyone got any comments on this??
Thanks,

I've always bought Footjoy & mainly the Aqualites & I found them OK but just recently with my new pair (6months old) my feet are really aching after 18 holes. When I took the insoles out it looks like I have been bending my feet 180'!!
I think I might try the Stuburt this time around, you know what they say nothing ventured nothing gained.
Thanks.

My shoes are stuburt - not sure which kind but they are very comfortable and did not need any breaking in.
I have had them about 19 months and no sign of wear and tear yet but I clean and polish after every round...

I use to use something similar to clean my footy boots & it was called 'dubbin' or something like that.
Those were the days when I could run around for 90 minutes, know I struggle with 18 holes with an electric trolley!!

Chris,
What weird & wonderful combination did you opt for in the end?? I had a friend who played off 6 & for he thought it would be a good laugh to have "slice" & "shank" on either heel of his footjoys. Every time he wore them he couldn't do anything but the afore mentioned so he starting wear his old shoes & he gradually regained his form. Only problem is that he won't wear the Myjoys anymore & no one will buy them off him because of the wording on the heel!!!
Who said golf was a mind game!!!

Well I can report back. Lunchtime I went to my local American Golf & tried on a pair of Stuburt Helium Pro & Footjoy Dry Pros.
As soon as a put the Dryjoys on I didn't want to take them off, they were so comfy & they fitted like a glove.
When I put the Stuburts on they felt a bit loose & myself & the store chap had to mess around with the lacing to try to get them to tighten up a bit, when this worked they did feel really comfy & they looked really smart.
I have decided to go for the Dryjoys for the simple fact that as soon as I put them on they felt like I'd had them on for ages if this had happened with the Stuburts I would have gone with them as they look a lot smarter then the dryjoys.
I have to go with comfort everytime.

Good choice. My Dryjoys are the comfiest shoes i own due to the fact that Footjoy make them in size 13. Before, i had to squeeze into a size 12 and suffer for a few days after every round
