The Open predictions

Hi everyone

Well its that time of year again and the Open championship is celebrating its 150 annerversary.

I would like to know your views on who you will be backing during the open this year.

Once again i will be supporting the brits this year and especially the Nottinghamshire boys westwood, Wilson, and the rest of the Brit pack with the likes of Casey, Poulter, Rose but at heart i would love to see Sir Nick Faldo make the cut and possibly challenge as its wierd as in the past couple of years, Seniors have almost lifted the jug with Norman and Watson last year.

But yet i have been a fan of tiger for years and i wish that the press would get off his back and let him play golf he is human after all and i will possibly be backing him. Tiger has a new putter and depending on the weather this week i hope they have a good year and we see a lot of brilliant golf.

 So below is a list who i think that might win

1. Tiger

2. Casey or Westwood

3. Mickelson

4. Sir Nick Faldo (a bit of a long shot but you might never Know)

I think the weather may win.

At the moment it favours The Links Guys like G-Mac and McIlroy. Stephen Gallacher is a good each-way bet, as is Monty (he likes The Old Course). Westwood may be thinking of his calf injury too much and a lot of the field will struggle with the possible gusting cross winds.
