Is this the cheapest golf in the UK?

Posted by: user69191 | Mon 31st May 2010 14:40 | Last Reply

Played a round with my lad at my home club Newbold Comyn this morning as I've got him for the week and we usually play every day, match play format best of 5 games over the 5 days. We fancy playing a different course every day this week so I went on teeofftimes.co.uk to see if there were any decent deals in the area. Newbold has just been taken over and is now on teeofftimes, available for £1 a round! Is there anywhere cheaper than that?

We've decided to play Hellidon Lakes for £7.50, The Warwickshire (Earls and Kings) for 12.50, Brailles (£10 with a member) and Ingon Manor for £15.

They are all struggling for money, hence these extremely good offers.

Great course, Newbold Comyn, for a municipal. One for the big hitters!

I play the Warwickshire quite a bit Allan, the par 3 over the lake is the toughest hole on the Kings course, if not the toughest on the complex.

Have you played The Earls? Very long, the best course I've played, every hole a jem. A different test to the fairly open Kings course.

Newbold is one for the big hitters Martin, you've got to be straight though, or bring plenty of balls.

Its in good nick too at the moment, greens were shocking a couple of weeks ago but have improved well.

I know. It can be a nightmare if having one of them bad days with the driver!
