Put It There

Posted by: user50354 | Mon 23rd Apr 2007 09:00 | Last Reply

Finally, I think I might just of sussed out a strategy that gets me putting with some kind of success rate.

Here goes:

1) Read the green etc as normal but then I traced a line back to approximately 6 inches in front of my ball and picked out a blade of grass.

2) put the ball off front foot in stance.

3) Putt the ball so it rolls over the blade of grass and also the putter head moves over the blade of grass.

4) The secret seems to be that once I chose the blade of grass I nolonger looked at the hole at all - I just focussed on the blade of grass and stroked as above..

Result was 37 putts for the round which is good for me, particularly after my previous failed attempts.

So, if your like me and struggle to putt try this. You never know..
