Unlocking the door to lower scores

Posted by: user38216 | Mon 10th May 2010 19:46 | Last Reply

I had a sociable knock yesterday afternoon and after being thoroughly thrashed 6 & 5 (by a 17 handicapper that shot 79!)  I decided to change a few things that I had read in my encylopedia of golf written by Chris Meadows.

One of the key things was ball position as mentioned in the related post. Im a left hander so I started with the ball just inside my right heel reagrdless of the club. Sorted my alignment by using a target 12 inches infront of me for alignment and steepened (is that a word) my back swing.  My alignment has been poor in the past resulting in a draw on good shots, or a hook on bad ones!

Wow, what a last 4 holes I played to par (gross). I thought I had nailed my first hole in one on 17 and everything went like a dream.

Bring on this saturday, cant wait to get out and play again.
