Football
40yrs ago I had to make the decision to play Golf rather than Football, but I still take an interest in it.
Yesterday I saw a few things that made me wonder if Football is worth watching any more if you support a TEAM. First I watched Blackpool V Forest and I was wondering who the guy was who wasn't getting involved until I realised it was the Ref, wearing all black when Forest were playing in all dark blue. Glad the players had good colour vision.
Then I watched Leeds v Bristol R and almost saw Leeds go into the play-offs because of the Officials.
Then I watched a Spanish Ref not only give a penalty, but send the player off when a shot hit him on the arm.
Big money in the game means most decisions should be correct (nobody is perfect).
What do you guys who follow football too think?

I also think that the govening bodies need to look at themselves.
Some years ago Harry Kewell, playing for Leeds Utd was sent off in a Europen game for stamping on an opponent who slid under him. He didn't actually stamp on him but landed on him after being knocked into the air. UEFA gave him a 3 match ban. Leeds appealed and UEFA changed the ban, but the statement they made, made no sense. They said that having looked at the incident they agreed that HK had not stamped on the other player and he was not guilty of any foul play but the sending off would stand and he would have to serve a one-match ban for that.
