First light golf

Am i the only crazy 1 who loves first light golf, or does anybody else drag themselves out of bed at 5 in the morning and get to there local course when its dark to tee off when light comes up, i cant wait for it to go light at 4, or is it cause i don't have to pay.

Not my idea of fun, Gerard, but this is because I used to be in the car park at Hainault golf club at 5.00 AM on the week-ends just to get  a start time for that day.

There were only two choices when I first started playing and they were either become a member of a private club or play municipal golf. Now of course the choice is wide open with the advent of all these new clubs built to USPGA standard, if you can call it that, a standard I mean.

Not for me I'm afraid!!!

As a night worker I'd much rather tee off around dinner time than first light.

Sorry for maybe asking a silly question but is this when you just turn up at the club before its open and just tee off??

Me & another member of my club try & tee off about 6am once a week to get ourselves ready for the weekend.

Sometimes we enter the summer stableford comp which runs from March to Oct which allows us to play from the white tees if there is a monthly medal coming up.

An esteemed member at that!
